Mona's Country Day School and Child Care is growing and currently looking to hire a Full-Time and Part-Time Teachers for our Infant and Toddler classrooms. Previous experience in a licensed facility preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop careful and creative lesson plans suitable for Infants /Toddlers
Able to offer a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play etc.) to teach children
Observe each child to help them improve their social/emotional competencies and build self-esteem
Encourage children to interact with each other and help resolve occasional conflicts
Guide children to develop their cognitive, fine motor and large motor skills through carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, colors, numbers or colors, artwork and outdoor play)
Organize and facilitate snacks, lunch and naptime including supervising children to ensure they are safe at all times.
Tracking children's progress and report to parents
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Collaborating with other educators
Skills/Requirements
Proven experience as an Infant/Toddler Teacher
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and Early Childhood Educational methods
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
Early Childhood Education College Credit Hours preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Meet or exceed State licensing requirements
Ability to obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card
Food Handler's Card and TB test
CPR/First Aid Certified
